It was SICKENING. After many years of Martial Arts, Weightlifting like a maniac and running a lot, I still felt weak most of the time, and I never looked as ripped and buff as I wanted to. No matter how hard or how long I trained, the body I saw in the mirror never matched what I wanted and pictured in my mind!

I was a regular gym rat, but I never felt strong enough or looked very strong, or like I had that “true power” that makes some guys look great and unstoppable!

Sometimes it hindered my self-confidence, which would affect my health, how much money I made, and the quality of my relationships.

I wanted MUSCLE!!

Real Muscle.

Strong muscle.

Because What You See Is What You Get.

Technology and culture has changed, but nature does not change.

Although they try to tell us otherwise, as a man, you should be STRONG.

Yes, an “Alpha Male”, a leader of the pack!

I know that’s not politically correct, but strength and political correctness are practically polar opposites.

If you want to be Strong, you don’t go along with the herd. Instead, you work on you, and make yourself strong.

First, let me introduce myself:

I’m Scott Bolan. You’ve probably heard of me if you’re into the martial arts and self-improvement. I hold multiple Black Belts and advanced Combatives Certifications. I’ve even been trained by one of Bruce Lee’s original students (I’ll tell you why this really matters in just a minute) I’ve also authored many worldwide bestselling training courses, written for publications like Black Belt Magazine, Black Belt Daily, and Modern Combat & Survival to name a few. I’ve been in more radio and podcast interviews than I can count, and I was recently inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of fame under three designations.

Look. I’m not telling you this to toot my own horn here. I just want you to know that I know about physical culture, having been a serious Martial Artist and bodybuilder all of my life.

Martial Arts is my passion, my lifestyle, and my career. I take it seriously. And it’s principles equally apply to Bodybuilding.

Although I knew Martial Arts and was in good shape and lifted regularly, I still wasn’t getting the MUSCLE SIZE AND STRENGTH I wanted.

After years of frustration and wasted time I kept hitting the same wall in my training over and over again. I hadn’t “broken through” yet, and just thinking about it made me want to PUKE! I hit the gym all the time, and spent loads at the Nutrition store on shakes and supplements. (I should friggin’ own stock at GNC with the amount I spent LOL) I also read tons of magazines and books, watched countless videos…. all to the point of confusion and frustration.

There is Seriously Too Much Conflicting Information and
“Mechanical Thinking” Out There in the Bodybuilding World

No matter what I did, I wasn’t getting that BIG MUSCLE we all want.

Then something BEAUTIFUL happened.

It was my “tranformational moment of truth,” like the lights coming on for the first time.

I was so frustrated and pissed off that I threw away everything I knew about strength and fitness.

In one “flash of lightning” moment I heard a statement that combined over 30 years of Martial Arts and Mind Power training into BODYBUILDING, like coming out of the oven and into the REAL WORLD.

The statement was…

BOOM!

Check this out: remember how I said I was trained by one of Bruce Lee’s original students? (they’re known in martial arts as the “Jeet Kune Do Nucleus”)

In Martial Arts, Bruce Lee was saying the same thing, and he REVOLUTIONIZED it…

…while pissing off the gurus of the time, and being called “insane” by jealous competitors.

He “changed the game” in Martial Arts big-time, NOT by adding more techniques, but by “peeling away at layers of the onion of ignorance”

Bruce Lee often used the term “Economy of Motion.” It means “nearest weapon to the nearest target”, or, basically, doing things as powerfully and simply as possible to escape “the classical mess” most of the masses are in.

By “hacking away at the unessentials” and “striking the root”, Bruce Lee removed complications from his application of Martial Arts to all of life. That’s how he was able to accomplish so much in his short life span.

As a lifelong Jeet Kune Do practitioner and Instructor, it dawned on me…

So I decided to “Strike The Root” and get back to basics.

Instead of “adding more”, I peeled back the layers and got to the core of what it’s all about: the most efficient, practical and easy way to Build Big Muscle and Strength – in other words, changing my game!
